This camera is good for someone who has never...

Excellent Battery life, user friendly software,and a solid feel. i took about 500 pictures and several video with the batteries that came with the camera and the batteries were still good when I returned the camera to the store

The image quality was disappointing as was not as good as my Canon SD 600 image quality. The images came out soft and not sharp not matter what I did
