Dell Inspiron 14 7000 Series (2014) review: Very good looks and value, not a lot of choice

 

Dell unveiled the Inspiron 14 7000 series laptop (and the 15 and 17 7000 series) in September of last year, billing it as its thinnest and strongest Inspiron to date.

The Dell Inspiron 14 7000 series provides very good performance and nearly 8 hours of battery life in an attractive, thin aluminum body. It's well-priced for what you're getting, particularly the highest-end configuration.

The $800 entry version does not have a full-HD screen and it will cost you $200 more to get a configuration that does. It has a lean port and connection assortment and older 802.11n Wi-Fi instead of 802.11ac.

While the entry model is less of a bargain than it used to be and configurations are limited, the thin, aluminum-clad Dell Inspiron 14 7000 remains an attractive option for its looks, performance, and price.

A beautiful laptop marred by a mediocre screen.

Great Looks, Sleek aluminum enclosure, Good specifications, Responsive touch screen, Good battery backup, Light, Good speakers (for a laptop), Good implementation of sound enhancement through software.

Quelle tristesse que Dell n'ait pas su offrir à son Inspiron 14 Série 7000 une dalle de meilleure qualité ! Car, pour le reste, hormis un clavier un peu trop compressé, il frappe très fort.

Une finition alu très soignée, une très bonne autonomie, un encombrement contenu et une bonne plateforme technique, le Dell Inspiron 14 Série 7000 avait tout pour nous séduire... jusqu’à ce que nous le mettions sous tension et commençions à travailler...
